Il Codice Leicester di Leonardo da Vinci - Exhibition at Uffizi
The Leicester Code - one of Leonardo Da Vinci's Masterworks
The Uffizi may have just announced its first real blockbuster exhibit, thankfully in the off-season so that we may have a chance to get in without queuing for a day and a night. 2019 marks the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci and this is the show that will kick off the year-long celebrations taking place in many locations in Italy and in the world. The book broke world records with its price at auction in 1994 ( 30Million USD ), and is now owned by Bill Gates, who is loaning it to the museum with the support of the Banca CR Firenze. The original pages of the book will be on display, enhanced by digital technology (of course!)

With sunny greetings from Italy and „alla prossima volta“!
